I didn’t love this season…
*I think following the podcast would have been a more interesting season 2
*what will be the significance of the rich lady’s husband killing his wife (turns out not much, they never really close that loop)
*the “cop’s” ulterior motive was p clear from the jump
*Omg they’re at lawless brewing shoutout clueless mic
*lots of overreacting
*the psychosis scenes felt out-of-line with the tone for this season - not enough of them which made any feel like too much
*killing the ex wife / fake cop / friend felt too easy though it does involve the family deeper
*got dark and weird
*never saw it, but started to have squid game energy, based on what I know from reading/hearing people talk about it
SPOILER BELOW
*also felt pretty dumb that the copycat killer is one of matt’s victim’s sister - because we, the audience, recognize her, but Ava and Nathan have no idea who she is. Not as great of a reveal since she’s a stranger to them, also no real explanation of how she ended up there
Overall, they opened too many threads with seemingly no plan. I didn’t love it, though I’ll likely watch a season 3 to see what happens with the cliffhanger.
If you’re invested, fine, but otherwise pass.
